Info

ATVers on sand dunes in Notre-Dame de Montauban, Quebec. 2010.

The dunes were artificially created by filling in a contaminated lake. This was part of remediation efforts executed during the closure of Lead and Zinc mines which were the main economic drivers of the region for most of the 20th century, until their closure in the 1990s.
